Wind

Energy generated by the wind is plentiful and clean. Wind energy is harnessed using turbines. When the wind blows by the turbines, it causes the blades to rotate and in turn produce electricity. Wind power can be used on a large scale to provide electricity to a number of commercial properties or it can be used on a small scale to supplement other energy sources. It can also be used to power residential homes.

Wind accounts for 9.2% of the energy generated in the U.S.
